  I was house-hunting in June of this year and needed to be pre-approved so that I'd have a better idea of what I could afford on my income and lucked out when the listing agent of a property I viewed passed my name and number to Derrrick Whitfield at Town Bank Mortgage. Derrick called me that same day and we discussed my income, cash available and credit (I knew it was okay, but not quite "Excellent" and wasn't certain how much I could actually borrow), as well as the deadline I faced to find a house, obtain financing and close- I had only 39 days left at that point. Derrick assured me he could get it done in that short a time and he came through- loan approval for the maximum I qualified for within a week and a locked in rate lower than I'd expected. He then patiently walked me through the complex process of obtaining and closing a mortgage and was always only a call or text away for any questions I had. With Derrick's help, I'm now happy in my new home! I highly recommend Derrick Whitfield to anyone considering buying a home, and if I ever decide to sell my house and buy another home, Derrick is the mortgage broker I'll be using!
